The Friends most popular activity is the semi-annual Used Book Sale. This event is held twice a year in the main meeting room at the Cumming Branch. Whether you’re looking for children’s books, cookbooks, popular fiction or ancient history, you are sure to find a bargain here! Members of the Friends receive advance entry into the Book Sale. Having the opportunity to shop before the general public can be a real benefit in joining the Friends! All proceeds from the book sale go to help fund various projects that benefit the library and our community.

 

In order to make the book sale a success, it takes the help of our wonderful volunteers. Before the sale we need help sorting and setting up the books, during the sale we need volunteers to help shoppers with their boxes, do to the initial tallying of books and to help re-stock the tables, and after the sale we need help with boxing up the unsold items. If you are able to help us in any way, please volunteer!
